Chief Wallace

CHIEF WALLACE
By Tucker Francis

Chief Wallace came to talk to the second grade. She is the chief of the Eastern Shawnee Tribe. She showed us some really cool stuff. We got to see a thing made out of a deer leg ,antler and feet .They use it for music at  powwows.Chief Wallace also had a cow rattle. She put on her Eeastern Shawnee shawl. We got to see moccasins too. Chief Wallace is cool and awesome. She has long hair for strength.

Totem Poles

BY: TUCKER FRANCIS

We got to make totem poles because we are learning about Native Americans. We had to use symmetry to make totems. But you can't forget the funny face!  Not all tribes have totem poles. Some are small and some are big. Many have animal faces on them. It takes a long time to carve totem poles. They can tell stories. You can't forget the World's Tallest Totem Pole. It is 160 feet!

That's how tall it is!

These are the Totem Poles that we made.
